Wedding trend 2011 - Indian Inspiration

Wow! We have seen a number of weddings world over been inspired by Indian colours and design. Rich colorful and embellished fabrics and Indian designs instantly add a unique factor to the wedding.

Heidi Klum and Seal seem to have started it all - with renewing their vows in India. The couple wore traditional Indian clothes and ceremony was conducted by an Indian priest. Following that, guests dined on traditional Indian vegetarian food! Katy Perry and Russell Brand tied the knot in a private ceremony in Rajasthan. They went the entire way with a Bollywood themed party, indian musicians and the works.More recently, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden got married at her dad's home. And heres the showstopper - they had an elephant for good luck!

Here is how you can give your wedding an indian touch -

Colors: Think pink, orange, rich purple, emerald green, maroon, gold. Pick rich and vibrant colors and use fabrics that are embellished to give an even more royal feel.

Attire: You could go all out with traditional Indian wear. If not, choose Indian design embroidery for your gown and of course Indian jewelry to add that final touch.

Don't forget, the little touches matter - consider a henna design cake, mini Indian jewelry boxes as giveaways and make it a day to remember!
